But it’s not just about higher, faster, further; it's about enjoying summits and baked goods. Tobias is in search of the best gipfeli, a Swiss croissant and close to the German word for summit—Gipfel.

Gipfeli
The Swiss version of the croissant is curved instead of straight and contains slightly less butter. As well as the classic butter croissant, there are many other varieties, such as chocolate, nut and seed-filled ones, as well as pretzel-flavoured ones and even a vegan version.
